How Many C2`s Are Still In Existance?

I know the BB Verts are 100% accounted for but Overall what are the expert estimates of C2`s still in existance? 50%? 60%? More or less?

1%----Which makes mine even more rare. What kind of a question is that ?

I know it was a dumb question but it amazes me what information is on this board. I bet there are some very good estimates on here. Its of no great importance to me but you have you left rear carb stud rechromated doesn`t change the world a lot either. Thats sounds like a smart answer but its not meant to be. and you car is worth more! Mike

I wouldn't call this information an estimate since an estimate implies some basis for formulating a number. Since there isn't any sort of national data base or registry that has enough members to provide any statistical estimate, I would say that best that anyone could do is to WAG. In my Air Force days that was called a Wild A*$ Guess. Meaning, throw a dart and where ever it hits the dart board is what you use.

Don`t have any idea how many are left, however I know my `67 small block with A.I.R. gets rarer every day. Keep making those big blocks guys!

personally I would not want a big block c2 too many couterfits and they all have side pipes and bolt ons or knock offs red lines ,goldlines teak wheels and so on ,its to easy to get ripped off .I would rather have a real deal smallbock low option high hp .just my opinion nothing else .My guess would be about half of the c2s are gone

I'd still like to have a big block, but the hassle would be that I have rarely had any documentation from previous owners. Typically, the paperwork was maybe a couple of old registrations left in the car, some receipts where they bought tires or an alternator or had Bubba Joe's All State Garage change oil or something.

So everyone would just figure I had a fake big block if I had one. How did things get so screwed up? Once upon a time, you just had a cool car. Now it is either documented or a fake.

Add mine to the list; '66 base 327, A31,C60,K19, M35, with hubcaps and black wall tires.

Nobody would clone mine: 65, base motor, 3 speed from the factory, with only radio and whitewalls as options. I even have the original window sticker which tells that sad tale!

At the rate of conversion to 435's and 424's for 67 and 66 the real rare car will be a 300 HP Powerslip.

A guy in Kentucky buys nice 300 HP glides and 6 weeks later out pops a numbers matching high horse power big block complete with paper work.

So hang on to the last 300 Glide as it will be a single entity soon.
